Hi all

What did you do to mark International Men's Day?

We got trolled in the Daily Star! They picked up on our joint research with Utopia and took umbrage at the way 'Snowflakes were preventing banter in the workplace'. Our PR agency were very upset but I have to admit we found it hilarious.

We held our IMD event yesterday and really feel like the tide is turning.

David Lammy MP spoke via video about his own experiences of masculinity, fatherhood and how gender stereotypes play out in his workplace.

Will Pike, Mumbai bombings survivor and disability activist, spoke emotionally and eloquently about his recovery and how he has had to reset certain notions of masculinity.

We had a hero's panel and a father's panel - where individuals spoke about their own journeys, parenting challenges and the way they are striving to create change.

We presented our research findings about how men are feeling in the workplace right now.

I interviewed Mary Portas who spoke about putting people and planet before profit, and how the 'feminine' is coming in to businesses and leadership. And how this is good for everyone.

If you missed the event, we are holding a catch up webinar on 28th November 2019 from 1.00pm - 2.00pm which you can sign up to here.

We will
1) Share the video of David Lammy talking
2) Share our masculinity research
3) Have time for Q&A about our outtakes from the event.

In the meantime, I've attached some of the coverage we have had from the research here
